A “pit hole” is a term derived from the DogsBite.org community. It is the distinction of an area that is a “pit hole” — an overwhelming number of explosively aggressive pit bulls — and is awarded to areas with an outrageous number of fatal pit bull maulings such as Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit and Los Angeles. When not designating a particular region, “pit hole” generally refers to the State of Georgia, which is the granddaddy of all pit holes.
