A stereotype is a commonly held public belief about specific social groups or types of individuals. According to the Wikipedia definition, stereotypes are standardized and simplified conceptions of groups based on some prior assumptions but may be confused with other concepts such as prejudice. Like with “canine racism” and other anthropomorphic personifications, Maul Talkers inappropriately use the term “stereotyping” in terms of a canine, specifically pit bulls:

By doing so, Maul Talkers attempt to elevate canines to the level of human beings or, viewed another way, lessen human beings to the value of a dog.
